A ground investigation is required to obtain environmental and geotechnical information for the redevelopment of the St Helier Harbour, St Helier, Jersey.

The planned investigation has been broken down into several zones, this package is for Elizabeth Harbour only.

It is to be noted that St Helier Harbour is the primary gateway for 98.6% of all goods entering Jersey and therefore critical for the islands supply chain where the majority of businesses operate a just in time logistics model. It is essential for the business continuity and resilience of the island that St Helier Harbour remains operational during the works.

In the area of works there is likely significant depths of Made Ground and marine sediments over the underlying strata (Granophyre or Diorite) with a potential to intersect a variety of dykes and sills (diorite, Porphyritic Microgranite, Mica-Lamprophyre, or Dolerite).
