- Further to our previous Prior Information Notice, NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is seeking to engage further with potential suppliers of Donation Chairs, Couches, Session Privacy Screens and the associated Maintenance of these items. NHSBT is a Special Health Authority that provides a blood and transplantation service to the NHS, looking after blood donation services in England and transplant services across the UK. NHSBT intends to establish a Framework Agreement with various lots which support the collection of Whole Blood, Apheresis Donation, and Plasma for Medicine, and the provision of Therapeutic Apheresis Services. The Framework will be split into the following Lots: LOT 1: Donation Chairs: Supply of current Chair Replacement Parts Only LOT 1.1: Maintenance and repair service for the existing fleet of Donation Chair component parts, including transport trolleys. LOT 2: Supply of new chairs & parts used for the collection of whole blood and including transport solutions, LOT 2.1: Maintenance and repair service for supply of new Donation Chairs, and associated transport solutions, used for the collection of whole blood. Lot 3: Supply of Donation Chair/Couch & Parts used for the used for the collection of Platelets, concurrent plasma and occasionally whole blood. In the future, these will be used for the collection of Plasma for Medicine.
