Description:
Tenders are invited for This project involves the construction of Active Travel Paths in the following two locations: Site 1 is 500m in length on the A29 Coleraine Ring Road, Site 2 is 2600m in length on the A2 Clooney Road All permanent and temporary works associated with the realignment and resurfacing of the A29 Coleraine Ring Road carriageway between Cromore Road and Portrush Roundabout and the A2 Clooney Road between Carnamuff Road and Vale Road. The works will facilitate the provision of a shared active travel path along the existing hardshoulder of each carriageway. The project shall comprise the works described within the Works Information (3 of 4). The works include without limitation the provision of the following Principal Work Activities: • Site clearance; • Earthworks; • New surface water drainage system; • Carriageway surfacing including raising and lowering of ironwork; • Footway Construction; • Laying of new kerb lines; • Design, Installation and Certification of High Containment Vehicle Restraint System (VRS) including RC concrete base stab; • Design, Installation and Certification of normal containment Vehicle Restraint System (VRS) • Drainage - Construction of new road, footway and verge drainage.
