Design & Installation Of Kingswood Park Play Area 2024/2025
This project is for the design and construction/installation of an improved play area at Kingswood Park, Kingswood, Bristol.

South Gloucestershire Council (SGC) and the Friends of Kingswood Park were successful in securing funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) for the refurbishment of historic elements of Kingswood Park together with access improvements and improvements to the existing play area, with the desired outcome that a wider range of people will be involved with the heritage.

SGC are inviting suppliers to provide tenders for the design and installation of the play area at Kingswood Park based on the requirements detailed in Schedule 3 (the Specification) of the ITT documents (available via the Supplying the South West ProContract Portal), within the available budget of £230,000 and in-line with the NLHF outcomes we hope to meet.

This contract will be for the playground and will include the design, supply and installation of new equipment, surfacing, landscaping, gates and new and relocation of existing railings, along with ancillary items, including macadam access paths through the play area, seats etc. The new play area will be based on innovation, providing a thematic link to its history and the local area. It will be fully accessible for all ages and abilities, encouraging informal social use between generations including children with disabilities.
