This Contract is on behalf of Gateshead Council, South Tyneside Council and Sunderland City Council (the Authorities) who have formed the South Tyne & Wear Waste Management Partnership (STWWMP) and is for the Provision and Operation of a Composting Facility to receive and process collected Green Waste.

Abstract: The requirements of the service under this Contract are:• The provision of a Composting Facility to receive and compost Green Waste.• Dependant on the location of the Composting Facility a suitable supporting Delivery Point/s should be considered from which the Contractor will transfer the delivered material to the appropriate processing Facility.• The transfer of the composted materials to suitable merchants or end users.• The provision of a complete record of all materials delivered, the interim merchants/outlets and the ultimate destination of each material.The service shall be provided for the acceptance and treatment of Green Waste derived from the Services across the three Council areas.
