Description : The Authority has a requirement for the provision of Confidential Staff Liaison and Freedom to Speak Up Services Organisations that provide services under the NHS Standard Contract (which includes but is not limited to NHS trusts and Foundation Trusts) are required to nominate a Freedom to Speak Up Guardian. For Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust the Freedom to Speak up Guardian Service contributes to the Workforce Strategy and enables the Trust to provide high-quality care for every patient every day.Following a staff consultation, the Trust reviewed its Freedom to Speak up Guardian Provision. It has identified that an external provider will best serve the staff and users of theTrust services by providing the independence of the service and accessibility (24/7 for 365 days of the year) for all Trust staff (approximately 9000 people).The Trust has a "Speak Up" policy in place to encourage and support staff to raise concerns.
