Description : Cefas require a compact thermal cycling machine to conduct conventional/standard Polymerase Chain Reactions (PCRs) (i.e not quantitative qPCR) on DNA from tissue or environmental samples, to amplify DNA using species-specific primers. Due to the need for high sample throughput on some projects, and space considerations in the lab, a machine with four independently controlled blocks is required. Requirement:A PCR thermal cycler with four independently controlled blocks, to the following specifications:- Capacity for simultaneously running up to three 96-well plates- Capacity for simultaneously running up to three sets of 96 x 0.2 mL tubes- Each block is independently programmable, with independent heated lids - A minimum temperature range of 20⁰ to 60⁰ C.- Compact in size - no larger than length x width 80 x 80 cm.- Memory for storing 50+ programmesDelivery and Installation Requirements:It is important to Cefas that delivery is made before or during WC 21st March 2022 to ensure payment by end of FY.
