- The Council is seeking to engage with domiciliary care providers in the market to inform the design and delivery of a 'Care at home' contract.
As of November 2024, Liverpool City Council procures approximately 44,000 hours of home care each week, supporting 2,500 people at any one time. The 2024-25 budgeted cost of this service is £32m.
The Council have developed a market interest questionnaire which sets out the information the Council is seeking from providers. The closing date for responses to the questionnaire is Tuesday 25 March 2025 at 11am. The opportunity is open for the Council to view responses as soon as they are submitted.

The Council intends to initiate a competitive tendering process for providers to deliver its chosen model within the next six months.
