  • Achieving For Children Short Breaks 2025
    Achieving for Children (AfC) understands that it is important to have a variety of Short Break Services that meet the varying needs of children and young people with disabilities and their families.

    It is our aim that children and young people with disabilities are provided with the opportunity to access any suitable Short Break activity that they choose in specialist or mainstream settings within the Kingston and Richmond boroughs.

    This service is exclusively for the β€˜Aiming High- or β€˜universal- Short Breaks offer. That is for commissioned universal services that do not include overnight respite or specialist care. To be eligible for the Aiming High programme, children and young people must have a diagnosed disability, be aged between 4 and 17 years, and live in the boroughs.

    The requirement is divided in Lots and Sub-Lots. Please see the tender documentation for further details.

    The contract term will be for an initial period of Three (3) years with an option to extend for further two (2) periods of twelve (12 months) at the discretion of AfC.
