Effective management of lost property is a crucial aspect of Network Rail`s partnership with its train operating companies (TOCs). This collaboration supports the goals of the NR "Putting Passengers First" programme by ensuring the provision of essential passenger services and achieving the highest possible repatriation rates for items lost across the rail network. This initiative not only aims to generate sustainable income for reinvestment in rail infrastructure but also ensures that the lost property operation remains profitable with the support of baggage storage activities. NR is keen to engage with suppliers on this opportunity before proceeding to the tender stage
