Abstract: CPI require an FTIR Microscope for applications such as detecting different phases in polymers, characterising the laminate layers in cross section, detecting impurities and inhomogeneity in films and coatings (inks, battery electrodes and polymer films). Mapping is an important function as often we are interested in statistical variations across a sample. We also anticipate using this to characterise the composition of formulated pharmaceutical products (e.g. tablets)
